Matachica is a luxury and very stylish beach resort that is located 5 miles to the north of San Pedro town on Ambergris Caye. The beach is beautiful and peaceful with a tropical feel and the views of the Caribbean are spectacular. You can kayak to the reef here to snorkel or there is excellent snorkelling a short boat ride away.

Rooms: are 30 individual thatched casitas and a two bedroomed villa. The casitas start on the beachfront just 50 feet from the sea and then graduate backwards. Our Comment: This is a top choice for a Belize Honeymoon beach hotel, it has a very romantic setting, exquisitely stylish suites and excellent service but manages to retain a casual feel, plus has a minimum age policy.
